- Look at the expiry date on the foil. Don’t use the condom after this date.
- Tear the foil, be careful with nails and jewelry. Don’t use your teeth nor scissors. It can damage the condom.
- Don’t unroll the condom before it’s being applied on the penis. It can break if you do.
- Apply the condom when the penis is fully erect.
- Apply the condom before there is any contact with the mouth, vagina or anus of your partner.
- The condom is rolled in the foil. It looks like a rubber ring with a tip on it. Hold the condom and make sure you can unroll it to the outside. If you hold it inside out, you can’t unroll it. Use a new one.
- Close the tip between your thumb and finger to avoid air inside. Unroll the condom as far down the penis as you can with your other hand.
- After having an orgasm, withdraw your penis before it loses stiffness. Hold the back end of the condom to avoid slipping and waste of semen.
- Dispose of the condom in the trash bin (not in the toilet)
- Wash your hands. Otherwise, you can still transfer semen (or an STI) to your partner
